Year 2007

Looks like a pretty light year summit wise. Certainly wasn't for lack of trying. There's 4 failed summits this year on 4 major peaks.

Unfortunately topping out on various trad routes just doesn't count.

Year 2006

Mark on the summit of Mt. Katahdin (5,267 ft) on 8/09/06. A 3,767 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in Maine Mark on the summit of Pamola (4,919 ft) on 8/09/06. This is just prior to crossing the Knife Edge on the way to Katahdin
Mark and Logan on the summit of Mt. Washington (6,288 ft) on 8/08/06. We took the car up Mark on the summit of Mt. Mansfield (4,393 ft) on 8/08/06. A 2,863 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in Vermont
Mark on the summit of Mt. Marcy (5,344 ft) on 8/07/06. A 3,165 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in New York Mark on the summit of Brasstown Bald (4,784 ft) on 7/02/06. A 500 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in Georgia
Mark on the summit of Mt. Rainier (14,411 ft) on 6/19/06. A 9,000 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in Washington Mark on the summit of Mt. Hood (11,239 ft) on 6/15/06. A 5,200 foot climb from the trailhead. This is the highest point in Oregon
Mark on the summit of Mt. Chinidere (4,873 ft) on 6/11/06.  

Year 2005

Mark and Logan on the summit of Fort Reno (429 ft) on 12/18/05. This is the highest point in Washington, DC Mark on the summit of Backbone Mountain (3,360 ft) on 7/10/05. Otherwise known as Hoye Crest. This is the highest point in Maryland
Mark on the summit of Mt. Shasta (14,162 ft) on 6/23/05. A 7,262 foot climb overall Mark on the summit of Spruce Knob (4,863 ft) on 7/10/05. This is the highest point in West Virginia
Mark on the summit of Mt. Greylock (3,491 ft) on 5/29/05. This is the highest point in Massachusetts Mark on the south slope of the summit of Mt. Frissell (2,380 ft) on 5/30/05. This is the "green stake" and is the highest point in Connecticut
Mark on the summit of Sassafras Mountain (3,560 ft) on 2/1/05. This is the highest point in South Carolina Mark on the summit of Mount Davis (3,213 ft) on 2/19/05. This is the highest point in Pennsylvania

Year 2004

Year 2003

Mark on the true summit of Old Rag Mountain (3,268 ft) in Shenandoah National Park (Virginia) on 4/27/03 Mark on the summit of Rattlesnake Mountain (1,492 ft) in the Delaware Water Gap on the AT (New Jersey) on 5/24/03. A long and dangerous summit to be sure..... :)
Mark on the summit of High Point Monument (1,803 ft) in High Point State Park (New Jersey) on 5/26/03. This is the highest point in New Jersey. You wouldn't even believe how bad the weather was. Mark on the summit of Mauna Kea (13,796 ft) on 6/03/03. This is the highest point in Hawaii.
Mark on the summit of an unnamed mountain (12,972 ft) to the south of the Continental Divide at the end of the Elk Creek trail in the Weminuche Wilderness (Colorado) on 8/5/03. Mark on the summit of Windom Peak (14,082 ft) in the Weminuche Wilderness (Colorado) on 8/8/03. Somewhere around a 3 mile and 3,000 ft climb from our campsite in Chicago Basin

Mark on the summit of Clingman's Dome (6,644 ft) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Tennessee) on 6/30/02. This is the highest point in Tennessee. Mark on the summit of Parson's Bald (~4,850 ft) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (North Carolina) on 7/01/02.
Mark on the summit of Gregory Bald (4,947 ft) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (North Carolina) on 7/01/02. Mark on the "summit" of Death Valley (-280 ft) in Death Valley National Park (California) on 9/8/02. This is the lowest point in California, the United States, North America and the Western Hemisphere.
Mark on the summit of Mt. Whitney (14,496 ft) in  Sequoia National Park (California) on 9/9/02. A 6,000 foot elevation gain from the trailhead. This is the highest point in California and in the continental United States.  

Notes on 2002: Had a couple of drive ups but Old Rag was a real rough scramble with a full pack. Made it up Whitney in 5 hrs and 50 minutes. I only had two people pass me but they started at Trail Camp so it doesn't really count. Check out the hiking pages for more details about each trip.

Mark on the summit of Slide Mountain (4,180 ft) in the Catskills (New York) on 7/22/01. Mark on the summit of Sandia Peak (10,678 ft) in the Sandia Mountain Wildnerness (New Mexico) on 8/6/01. A 3,618 ft elevation gain from the trail head, 7.5 miles one way (I took the Tram down)
Mark on the summit of Wheeler Peak (13,161 ft) in the Carson National Forest (New Mexico) on 8/8/01. A 3,771 ft elevation gain from the trail head, 15 miles round trip. This is the highest point in New Mexico. Mark on the summit of Santa Fe Baldy (12,622 ft) in the Santa Fe National Forest (New Mexico) on 8/09/01. A 2,322 ft elevation gain from the trail head, 14 miles round trip.

Notes on 2001: The Delaware pictures are next to a trailer park, its Logan's first summit and his first high point. The Catskills pictures were all on the same backpack trip. Wheeler Peak was a great hike mostly above tree line. Santa Fe Baldy was cool and windy with little summit time due to a very impending thunderstorm that I just managed to beat back to tree line.

Year 2000

Mark on the summit of Emory peak (7,825 ft) in Big Bend National Park (Texas) on 3/19/00. A 2,500 ft elevation gain from the trail head. Mark on the summit of Guadalupe Peak (8,749 ft) in Guadalupe National Park (Texas) on 3/24/00. A 3,000 ft elevation gain from the trail head. This is the highest point in Texas.
